THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BATHLEY LANE LEVEL CROSSING, BATHLEY LANE, NORTH MUSKHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018 (NK65-18)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Nottinghamshire County Council intends
not less than seven days from the date
of this Notice to make an Order, under
Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984. The effects will be: Vehicles
will be prohibited from proceeding in
the following length of road at North
Muskham in the District of Newark and
Sherwood: -
Bathley Lane Level Crossing, Bathley
Lane, North Muskham – from a point
10 metres East of the Eastern most
crossing barrier to a point 10 metres
West of the Western most crossing
barrier.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition
respecting the above road or roads will
apply as follows: -
1. From 23:30 hours on Saturday
5th May 2018 until 08:15 hours on
Sunday 6th May 2018 inclusive.
2. From 23:30 hours on Saturday
12th May 2018 until 08:15 hours on
Sunday 13th May 2018 inclusive.
3. From 23:30 hours on Saturday
20th May 2018 until 08:15 hours on
Sunday 21st May 2018 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER
GIVEN
that during the period of restriction the
alternative routes available will be via:
B6325 Great North Road (Bathley)
– B6325 Great North Road (South
Muskham) – Crow Lane – Bathley
Lane – Main Street (Bathley) –
Muskham Lane – Bathley Lane (North
Muskham) and Vice Versa.
The Order will come into force on
Saturday 5th May 2018 and any
prohibition in it shall apply on that
day and any subsequent day when
necessary to enable works to be carried
out. The Order shall continue in force
until the works are completed (within a
maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable
Network Rail to carry out overhead line
resilience work.
