THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (THE WHARF AND SHERWOOD AVENUE, NEWARK ON TRENT) (VARIOUS TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2018 (NK315-17)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Nottinghamshire County Council intends
to, in not less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an Order
under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984. The effects will be
in respect of roads at Newark on Trent
in the District of Newark and Sherwood:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from
proceeding in the following length of
road: -
Sherwood Avenue, from its
junction with Barnby Gate to
its junction with B6326 London
Road.
2. Vehicles are prohibited from
proceeding in a northerly and
easterly direction in the following
length of road: -
The Wharf, for its whole length.
3. Vehicles are prohibited from making
a right turn:
From The Wharf into B6326 Great
North Road
4. IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition
respecting the above road or roads
will apply as follows: -
From 00:01 hours on Tuesday
16th January 2018 until 23:59
hours on Friday 2nd February
2018 inclusive.
5. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN
that the alternative routes will be: -
signed on site.
The Order will come into force on
Tuesday 16th January 2018 and
any prohibition in it shall apply on that
day and any subsequent day when
necessary to enable works to be carried
out. The Order shall continue in force
until the works are completed (within a
maximum period of 18 months).
Any existing restrictions or
prohibitions previously introduced
by an order made under the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 will be
temporarily suspended for so long as
this order is in force and traffic signs
are in place.
The prohibition is required to enable
Severn Trent Water to carry out sewer
installation and all associated works.
