Newark: This country cottage in Ollerton could be yours for just £2 by entering raffle
Would you like to own a mortgage-free country home by January at the cost of just £2?
You could be in with the chance of winning a two-bedroom detached cottage in Ollerton by purchasing a ticket in a raffle.
Callum and Jodie Paget, owners of 3 Forest Side on Blyth Road, have decided to raffle off their home after living there for five years.
There are 200,000 tickets available costing just £2 each.
In front of the house you are met with a driveway large enough for up to three cars and a piece of well-kept lawn to the left. The door is headed with a beautiful archway, with hanging baskets and troughs dotted around.
The front door leads straight into the living area which is open and light thanks to its two oak-effect UPVC windows — also presenting views of the front and rear.
The lounge also has solid oak flooring and a log burner with a slabbed hearth area. Through the next door there is the dining room that will seat up to four or five people, with enough space for some storage.
There is a newly-fitted modern kitchen comprising of wall and based units, wooden worktops, a Belfast sink and a range of appliances including an integrated oven, a glass hob and a fridge freezer.
Windows overlook the front and rear garden, and french doors open on to the patio area.
Tiled throughout with a low-level WC, the bathroom has a pedestal sink and a bath with taps and shower attachment.
The master bedroom is carpeted throughout with oak-effect UPVC windows to the side of the room. The second bedroom is also carpeted and has two windows like the master that overlook the rear garden and beyond.
The back garden is around 3 1/4 of an acre with a dropped curb and gated access. It includes a brick built outhouse and wooden and galvanised steel dog kennels.
The cottage is near to Clumber Park, Rufford Park, Thoresby Park, Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines.
The raffle will be drawn once all tickets have been sold, or on January 2, 2021, when the raffle ends.
All legal fees will be covered and the lucky owner will be completely mortgage free.
It can take up to two weeks for the transfer of name to happen, so the prize would not be handed over until then.
If by the end date the required number of tickets are not sold, a winner will still be drawn and receive 75% of the ticket sales. 25% goes to the raffle platform.
