Thousands get into Christmas spirit at two-day Newark Festive Gift and Food Show, Newark Showground
Thousands of visitors eyed a Christmas bargain at a two-day festival at Newark Showground.
Crowds undaunted by Saturday’s rain went along to the Newark Festive Gift and Food Show.
There were hundreds of stands in two pavilions which offered everything from decorations to cards and gift ideas, to festive food and drink.
Now in its fifth year, the event is billed as the biggest indoor fair in the East Midlands.
There was a synthetic ice rink alongside live music and reindeer.
Among the fundraisers were Stuart Dixon, owner of several Jaguars, who charged people to write their names on stickers, which were then laminated on to the cars.
He has raised £150,000 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Sheffield.
