Three men charged after street fight on Lincoln Road, Newark




Two men and a teenage boy have been charged after a street fight in Newark.

Nottinghamshire Police officers were called to Lincoln Road on Monday after receiving reports of a disturbance just before 7.30pm.

Horrace Price, aged 37, of Woodland Walk, Collingham, has been charged with affray and two counts of possession of a bladed article.

Bradley Jones, 31, of Wolfit Avenue, Newark, was charged with threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

The 16-year-old has been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm, threatening a person with a blade in a public place, and possession of a bladed article.

The trio appeared at Nottingham Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday (March 8) and have been bailed with conditions to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on April 5.

A 48-year-old man has been bailed while investigation continues after being arrested on suspicion of affray and grievous bodily harm.

Detective sergeant Jackie Price said: “Thankfully, no one was seriously injured during this incident and we have now been able to bring three charges in this case.

“We know that there may have been others in the area when this occurred, so I want to ask anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward and speak to us.”
