Three men arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after Newton-on-Trent collision released from custody
Three men, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, have been released from custody pending further inquiries.
Lincolnshire Police has renewed its appeal for information on a fatal collision that happened on Saturday evening on the A1133 Collingham Road, Newton-on-Trent.
It resulted in the death of a 24-year-old man.
The collision was reported at 10.12pm and officers would like to hear from anyone who saw a Mitsubishi Shogun travelling towards the A57 around that time.
Police believe the Mitsubishi Shogun was involved in the collision.
Three men, aged 20, 21 and 24, were later arrested — and have now been released from custody.
Investigators would like to hear from anyone who has not already contacted them with information useful to the inquiry or relevant dashcam footage.
Detective Sergeant Emma Ward, Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We send our condolences to the family of the man who sadly died in the collision. We will do everything we can to establish the circumstances and complete a thorough and detailed investigation."
