Three teens arrested in connection with aggravated burglary on Northgate, Newark

Three teens have been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in Newark.

Officers were called to Northgate on Sunday at around 1pm after reports of men smashing a flat window to get inside.

The three 19 year olds were thought to have been forced to leave by a person inside the property before they fled the scene.

They were later located and arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. One of the men has been released with no further action.

Detective Sergeant Lauren Morgan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This would have been a terrifying experience for the occupant of the flat and our officers did an excellent job to make quick arrests as part of our investigation.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident, have dashcam footage or information to get in touch with us as soon as possible. If you have something that could help us as part of our investigation, please call 101 and quote incident 299 of March 22.”
