Advance tickets to the Advertiser Ladies Day at Southwell Racecourse are selling fast, so race goers need to hurry to grab their tickets to the “jewel in the Nottinghamshire social calendar”.

This year’s Advertiser Ladies Day is set to take place on Sunday, August 17, combining all the glitz and glamour of Ladies Day with an full race-card.

Admission on an advance saver ticket is just £36, which gives guests access to the Grandstand, pre-parade ring, parade ring, all grandstand public bars and eateries and all grandstand public betting outlets, as well as all of racing action and live music — but advance tickets are only available until June 30. The ticket price on the day is £45.

The 2024 Advertiser Ladies Day brought a record crowd of more than 9,000 people, and it is hoped this year will be even better.

As always, there will also be a £500 cash prize for the most stylishly dressed race-goer, a competition that is always hotly contested.

To get the party started, there will be a DJ playing 90s and 00s classics from the grandstand before racing.

And, the fun doesn’t stop with the final race of the day. Southwell Racecourse has lined up a live 80s music show so race-goers can dance the night away after the racing on stage at the end of the Trackside Lawn. This lawn will provide more space for dancing!

More toilets will be available for female guests in order to reduce queue times, and the racecourse has also announced that due to the scale of this event, they will be working in partnership with Nottinghamshire Police to host a police presence on the day in and around the crowd.

Several new hospitality packages have been added this year, including The Paddock Club, Seafood and Champagne Lawn, and Trackside Picnic Lawn packages to name just three.

“We are selling tickets hand over fist at the lower rate, as it is a popular event and it seems the live band plus a DJ before racing this year is a real hit,” said racecourse director Mark Clayton, “We are hoping payday next week will see our avid Ladies Day fans, see value in the savings they will make if they purchase before the end of June.”

Hospitality packages and general admission tickets are available at www.southwell racecourse.co.uk, starting at £67 for an Afternoon Picnic Package.
