Time for businesses to join the digital revolution says financial expert

Many VAT registered business will already be familiar with Making Tax Digital (MTD), writes Simon Shaw, of Duncan and Toplis.

For some time now VAT registered business who have turnover of more than £85,000 have been required to maintain digital records and submit their VAT returns to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) in a digital format.

Although there have been some exclusions, these have been very limited.
