Leisure, Tourism And Hospitality Award added to category list for Newark Business Awards 2024
For 2024 we have introduced an 11th category of Newark Business Awards — and one that we think will prove extremely popular.
This year, we are inviting entries for the Leisure, Tourism And Hospitality Award.
This is open to anyone involved in leisure, tourism, visitor attractions, or hospitality in and around the Newark area.
Advertiser editor Sharon Hodkin said: “Newark and Sherwood is well known for the strength of its tourism and hospitality offerings and we felt it was time to recognise this.
“The leisure, tourism and hospitality industry is huge in Newark and Sherwood. Thousands of people visit the area every year and receive fantastic service across the sector — and that is what we are wanting to celebrate with this new award.
“Whether a major tourist attraction or a small village pub, we want to hear from you.”
The Leisure, Tourism And Hospitality Award, which will be sponsored by Nottinghamshire County Council, joins the other ten categories currently open for nomination.
They are: Business of the Year, Businessperson of the Year, Employer of the Year, Team of the Year, Environmental Champion, Best Social Enterprise, Best Independent Retailer, Business Innovation, Customer Care, and Best Start-up.
Nominations are open until 2pm on Friday, March 22.
Entering could not be easier.
When you have decided which category/categories you want to enter, simply go to the dedicated website at www.newarkbusinessawards.co.uk
You can either nominate your own business, or nominate others, in up to two categories.
There are two stages to the nomination process.
Firstly, you will be asked to give basic details on the website.
Each nominee will then be sent an electronic entry pack to fill in and send back.
The closing date for nominations is Friday, March 22, at 2pm.
You then have a week to complete your entry packs, until Friday, March 29.
Our independent judges will then use the information supplied to decide the four finalists in the categories, which will be revealed in the Advertiser on April 18.
After the announcement, the judges will visit each finalist to decide the overall winners and a highly-commended in each category.
If you do not want to enter this year’s awards but still want to get involved, a range of sponsorship opportunities are available. Go to the business awards website for more information.
