Cadent gas repairs and maintenance works on Castlegate, Newark likely to cause delays with temporary traffic lights

Temporary traffic control lights are in place along Castlegate, Newark leading to slow moving traffic and potential delays.

Via East Midlands report that the lights will remain in place while gas company, Cadent carries out gas utility repairs and maintenance works.

The works are taking place close to the where Castlegate meets Stodman Street and are expected to last until November 29.

Delays are likely when travelling through central Newark as the lights control the flow of traffic.

The footway is unaffected by the works, however, if a member of the public wishes to raise safety concerns about equipment used such as barriers, signs or cones, they should call 0800 096 5678.
