One of a town's busiest streets has become the first in Nottinghamshire to temporarily close to vehicles because of social distancing requirements.

Nottinghamshire County Council closed King Street, Southwell, from today (June 22) until further notice to help pedestrians adhere to social distancing.

Vehicle access is only allowed to residents, the disabled, emergency services and deliveries.
