Large tree falls in Southwell Minster grounds during strong winds from Storm Isha

A large tree has fallen in the grounds of Southwell Minster.

The tree came down last night as strong winds from Storm Isha buffeted the district.

It is now blocking the pathways by Trebeck Hall, to the west of the Minster.

Southwell Minster has warned the public that the paths will remain closed until the tree can be safely removed.

As the tree has fallen on their land it is the Minster’s responsibility to dispose of.

However, Southwell Town Council have said that if contacted they would be willing to help.

Southwell Minster have been approached for comment.
