Southwell plastic surgeon charged with attempted murder has trial delayed

LEARN MOREA plastic surgeon charged with the attempted murder of a fellow doctor has had his trial postponed following a hearing today.
Jonathan Peter Brooks, of Landseer Road, Southwell, was due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday for the start of a four-week trial.
Mr Brooks did not attend the hearing, where the judge was given an update on matters connected to the case.
Another hearing will now be held next week to determine the next steps.
Mr Brooks has been remanded in custody since the incident on January 14 last year, which saw fellow doctor Graeme Perks suffer stab wounds at his home in Halam Hill, Halam.
The defendant is also charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
