Reader’s letter: Trying to trace book’s author

Could I appeal to find relatives of Joan Witham, who wrote the book Hearts And Minds?

She lived in Newark in the 1980s and was a former head teacher in Pinxton in Derbyshire. She retired as a teacher in 1981.

Nottinghamshire Mining Museum is looking to organise an exhibition using Joan’s book, which is now out of print, and would like to contact her relatives.
