U-turn on carpark toilets

Newark and Sherwood District Council has reversed its decision to close the toilets at London Road carpark.

The closure was planned to offset part of the £1/4m cost of providing new town-centre toilets, to be built under an overhang on the corner of the multi-storey carpark at the back of White Hart Yard.

The London Road facilities open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
