Nottinghamshire Police confirm collision near Fernwood leading the long delays on A1 between junction with A46 and A52

A crash is causing traffic to back up on a major road.

Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed they are in attendance at the scene of a collision on the A1 near Fernwood.

The collision took place between a car and a lorry this morning, although no significant injuries have been reported by the police.

As a result, traffic is backing up on the A1 southbound between the junctions with the A46 and the A52.
