Total of 117 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Tuesday, March 15) according to Public Health England




A total of 117 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood over the weekend, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 38,361 cases (up 154) Bassetlaw 35,683 (up 102) Broxtowe 33,480 (up 110) Gedling 36,783 (up 105) Mansfield 33,959 (up 137) Newark and Sherwood 34,865 (up 117) Rushcliffe 36,972 (up 128) Nottingham city 102,076 (up 209) and Nottinghamshire 250,103 (up 853).

In the last seven days there have been 604 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 67 cases on the previous seven-day period.

There have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 272.

According to the latest public data, in the last seven days 19,820,181 (up 492,103) patients in the UK have tested positive and 163,095 (up 714) people have died within 28 days of positive test over the same period.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to March 14 is 52,713,188 (up 4,763) the number with the second dose is 49,226,170 (up 16,929) and the booster 38,537,731 (up 24,595).
