Coronavirus cases in Newark and Sherwood rise to 12,259 today (Friday, September 3) according to Public Health England
A total of 70 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the district, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
Ashfield 14,866 cases (up 80) Bassetlaw 13,110 (up 51) Broxtowe 11,667 (up 42) Gedling 13,545 (up 62) Mansfield 13,148 (up 103) Newark and Sherwood 12,259 (up 70) Rushcliffe 12,306 (up 39) Nottingham city 45,874 (up 162) Nottinghamshire 90,901 (447).
In the last seven days there have been 454 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is down 25 cases on the previous seven days.
In the latest 24-hour period, no new deaths have been reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 213.
According to the latest public data, 6,862,904 (up 38,154) patients in the UK have tested positive and 132,920 (up 178) people have died within 28 days of positive test.
The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to September 2 is 48,131,996 (up 44,088) and the total for the second dose is 43,023,372 (up 113,385).
