Coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Saturday, September 25) according to Public Health England




A total of 58 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the district, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 16,414 cases (up 92) Bassetlaw 14,554 (up 68) Broxtowe 12,886 (up 56) Gedling 14,944 (up 85) Mansfield 14,712 (up 69) Newark and Sherwood 13,534 (up 58) Rushcliffe 13,573 (up 85) Nottingham city 48,502 (up 164) Nottinghamshire 100,189 (up 666).

In the last seven days there have been 365 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 23 cases on the previous seven days.

In the latest 24-hour period, no new deaths have been reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 216.

According to the latest public data, 7,601,487 (up 35,623) patients in the UK have tested positive and 135,983 (up 180) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to September 23 is 48,705,771 (up 31,617) and the total for the second dose is 44,644,887 (up 44,817).
