A total of 145 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 32,394 (up 152) Bassetlaw 29,597 (up 186) Broxtowe 27,743 (up 155) Gedling 30,826 (up 168) Mansfield 28,481 (up 154) Newark and Sherwood 29,120 (up 145) Rushcliffe 30,280 (up 188) Nottingham city 86,156 (up 365) Nottinghamshire 208,441 (up 1,148).

In the last seven days there have been 1,001 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is down three cases on the previous seven-day period.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 261.

According to the latest public data, 16,047,716 (up 94,326) patients in the UK have tested positive and 154,356 (up 439) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to January 24 is 52,252,579 (up 16,005) the number with the second dose is 48,224,978 (up 29,833) and the booster 36,996,936 (up 55,877).
