Total of 61 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Thursday, February 24) according to Public Health England

A total of 61 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 37,031 cases (up 63) Bassetlaw 34,415 (up 58) Broxtowe 32,010 (up 49) Gedling 35,469 (up 65) Mansfield 32,779 (up 53) Newark and Sherwood 33,454 (up 61) Rushcliffe 35,123 (up 65) Nottingham city 99,101 (up 133) and Nottinghamshire 240,281 (up 414).

In the last seven days there have been 462 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up nine cases on the previous seven-day period.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 271.

According to the latest public data, 18,734,683 (up 39,656) patients in the UK have tested positive and 160,979 (up 164) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to February 22 is 52,589,291 (up 8,291) the number with the second dose is 48,919,805 (up 17,904) and the booster 38,082,560 (up 30,605).
