Total 584 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood from Monday, March 28, to Friday, April 1, according to Public Health England




A total of 584 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood since Monday, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 41,031 cases (up 622) Bassetlaw 37,927 (up 620) Broxtowe 35,999 (up 605) Gedling 39,176 (up 573) Mansfield 36,317 (up 537) Newark and Sherwood 37,510 (up 584) Rushcliffe 39,559 (up 575) Nottingham city 106,612 (up 1,116) and Nottinghamshire 267,519 (up 4,116).

In the last seven days there have been 1,132 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is down ten cases on the previous seven-day period.

And there have been six new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, taking the total to 279.

According to the latest data, 21,216,874 (up 311,359) patients in the UK tested positive and 165,570 (up 899) people died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to March 31 is 52,803,065 (up 4,622) the number with the second dose is 49,439,759 (up 11,725) and the booster 38,823,674 (up 15,578).
