Use questioned

By NewarkAdvertiser Reporter

I don't go into Newark all that much, particularly with the present traffic chaos but I have noticed the free bus circulating a few times and what I have seen gets my curiosity going.

Whenever I have seen it stopped, usually on Appleton-gate, near the parish church, no one seems to get off and no one seems to get on.

When I have seen it in motion, while on its journey, I glance at it and there is no one on it.

I have yet to find out from where it goes and what its entire route is.

There appears to be two of them, one carrying messages from the water company and the other just a plain bus.

Can anyone confirm if this is just a folly or has some serious use? — Brian Clark, Hayside Avenue, Balderton.
