Newark Vegan and Ethical Market to celebrate first anniversary in the Nottinghamshire town

A Vegan and Ethical Market is approaching its first birthday.

The bi-monthly Newark market hosted by Rainbow Monkey Events was launched in December 2022 and provides traders with the opportunity to share their vegan and eco-friendly products with the people of the area.

The market offers a wide selection of stalls, from hot dogs to cupcakes, candles to cosmetics, and there are often local charities to support as well.

A spokesman from Rainbow Monkey Events said they aim to bring vibrant vegan markets to a range of locations across the Midlands, with free entry for customers and affordable stall costs for traders.

They added that their events are fully accessible and welcoming to all.

Organiser Sam Brundish said: “We’re delighted to be approaching a year of our Newark market.

"We look forward to another year, supporting our regular stallholders and welcoming some fantastic new ones too.

"We would love to pass on a huge thank you to the people of Newark for your support - we couldn’t do it without you.”

Newark Vegan and Ethical Market is held in front of the Town Hall at Newark Royal Market from 9-3 every other third Saturday with the next one to be held tomorrow, (Saturday 18th November).
