All Saints Church in Sutton on Trent to host Christmas fundraising event for the village’s two churches

The annual Christmas acoustic night fundraiser is set to return to a village’s church this year.

On Saturday (December 14), All Saints Church on Sutton Trent will host its annual event to raise money for the United Churches of Sutton — All Saints Church and the Methodist Church.

The event that has grown in popularity over the years will present a range of festive songs rather than religion.

The Sutton House Bands features some names such as Adam Sofield, Riverside Music and The Street Hawks, however, this year the flute and according will also play some classic Christmas tunes.

This year will also have the delight of some members of The Hop Yards with some smooth jazz, whimsical folk music from The Basket Sings, return of father-daughter duo and a debut from a Teaching Assistant from the school playing guitar with vocal from her daughter.

There will be a volunteer-manned refreshments stand serving hot and cold drinks of all varieties for the price of a donation.

It will have typical raffle prizes but with a twist of a traditional wooden spoon prize.

The church will be decorated with Christmas trees from the annual Christmas tree festival.
