Working with Nottinghamshire County Council and the Environment Agency full training will be provided.

Wardens have a role in helping to monitor and report water levels, share important information with their communities, assist in deployment of flood signage on highways and generally serve to assist in flood response actions both before during and after flood events.

The move follows calls for better preparedness after sever flooding hit the district in late 2023 and early 2024.

Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to e-mail post@newark.gov.uk confirming their name, e-mail address, and contact number.
