Met Office put yellow weather warning for ice in place, warning of difficult travel conditions




A weather warning for ice has been put in place, with ice expected to develop overnight.

The Met Office has triggered a yellow weather warning for much of the North and Midlands, including Nottinghamshire, starting from 5pm tonight.

It warns that icy patches are likely to develop this evening and overnight, leading to difficult travel conditions.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has posted on X (formerly Twitter) to advise motorists to allow extra time for their journey.

Another warning for ice is currently in place for tomorrow evening.
