Welcome news on Nottinghamshire County Council road repairs — Reader's letter

In the article Changes Planned To Road Repair Strategy (Advertiser, November 18) the leading paragraph stated the county council will move towards permanent road replacement repairs rather than filling in potholes, as part of its plan to improve how it fixes the county’s roads.

I note it was the outcome of cross-party highways panel, so no obvious political point scoring here ­— well done.

I also note that they were due to present a 12-page report on November 17, which I would assume is available to all the registered voters of Newark and Sherwood.
