The Newark Advertiser found out what people think should be improved in England
This week the Advertiser team went out to find out Newarkers' opinions on what should be improved in the country.
From the cost of inflation to a better government, the people we spoke to shared their thoughts.
“Heating and electric bills because they just keep going up and up with the price of inflation,” said Nathan Turner.
“Wages are increasing in April and everything will increase as well so until we raise the wages and keep everything the same it’s just going to keep going up.”
During the past year inflation and the cost of bills, especially heating and electric, spiked all over the UK and with it, people’s concerns on the future.
“I’d change the government,at the moment. It is shambles isn’t it?” said Kelly Norris.
Iwona Marshall said: “Bring childcare for working parents. Where they talk about introduce child care from nine months old instead of three years old.”
Despite government and costs of living dominating most people’s concerns, others highlighted improving safety.
“Make the country safer for women during night time,” said Taylor Brown.
