The Newark Advertiser asked people what is a must have at their Christmas table
In its weekly voxpop, the Advertiser found out what is a must have at people’s Christmas dinner table.
From food to family and a good time, people’s opinions varied across the town centre.
With Christmas three days away, runs to the supermarket increase, with people trying to get the last bits of food and decorations for Christmas day.
“For me a must have at Christmas is the family,” said Barbara Masson.
Allison Morrell said: “We just have lots of vegetables and turkey but we always decorate the table. I have silver acorns this year back from Germany.”
Daniel Spielman said: “Every year at my Christmas table my sister always goes over the board with the napkins and they always have a different message, it is really beautiful.
“And my mum as she is a seamstress, at her job she always makes different napkin holders, that is something that is and always be a must have at my Christmas table.”
Nicholas Perrett said: “Must have is have a good stuffing in the turkey, good stuffing and good gravy, It’s the gravy that makes it.”
“For me a must have is a trifle,” added his wife, Angela.
David Baker said: “A smiley face, nothing else but a smile on your face.”
