The Advertiser found out people’s favourite places to eat in Newark and surrounding areas
In its weekly voxpop the Advertiser found out people’s favourite places to eat across the district.
As part of its new weekly article — Eat My Words — a food review of restaurants not only in Newark but surrounding areas, we wanted to hear the public’s food recommendations.
From international food to pubs, the suggestions were endless, but everyone had a place, two or three to mention from their favourites list.
Margie Drew said: “The Indian restaurant in Newark, the service is excellent and the food is brilliant.”
Pilar Ramos said: “I like the places where I can go for the English breakfast, at Beanblock cafe the food is very good as well and it is good for the children.
“I used to like Wetherspoons because it was good and cheap.”
Judr Beeaa: “We like to go to Hardy’s Farmshop in Farndon, the coffee is brilliant, nice cakes, lovely staff and a nice atmosphere.”
David Hall said: “Koinonia is one of my favourites, it is south Indian food and I just really like the food and my wife is Indian as well so it is just nice for her to experience local cuisine.”
Lewis and Stacey Millington said: “We quite like Lord Ted, we go there quite a lot.
“It is easy, and we have got two little children so it is sort of a family restaurant as well.
“They refurbed it recently and it looks really nice.
“We did like Wetherspoons but it closed, which it is a shame.”
The Advertiser now asks its readers — What are your favourite places in Newark and the district to go out for food?
