Nottinghamshire Police appeal for witnesses after teenager robbed of bike in Newark




Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed of his bike in Newark.

The boy was riding his bike on Barnby Road when he was stopped.

A group of four boys are said to have then taken his bike before riding off towards Sherwood Avenue Park.

The boy wasn’t injured during the incident, which took place at 2.25pm on June 20.

Police have released an image of the stolen bike and asked anyone with information to come forward.

Police Constable Rebecca Skinner, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Robbery in all its different forms is an extremely serious offence, which is why we thoroughly investigate every report we receive of this nature.

“We would appeal to anyone who has seen this bike in and around the Newark area to come forward immediately, so that we can return it to its owner.

“Anyone with any further information that could assist us with our investigation is also asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 409 of June 20, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
