Woman, 39, dies after car goes into the River Trent following a crash
A woman has died after a car went into the River Trent following a crash.
Fire crews from Newark attended the road traffic collision on Hoveringham Road, Hoveringham, at 3.47pm yesterday (Tuesday).
A 39-year-old woman was taken to hospital after the incident but died from her injuries a short while after.
Hoveringham Road, near Ferry Farm Park, will remain closed until it has been cleared.
No one else has is believed to have been injured in the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information that could aid officers in their investigation, or has any dashcam footage, should call 101 and quote incident number 565 of September 24.
