Woman and boy taken to hospital after fire

A woman and a boy were taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a home on Northgate, Newark, last night.

Crews from Newark and Collingham were called out at around 9.30pm to tackle the blaze, which is believed to have started in the kitchen.

Firefighters also had to rescue a dog.
