Woman hospitalised after car leaves the road in Balderton

A 77-year-old woman was taken to hospital after her car ended up in a ditch on Coddington Road in Balderton.
Crews from Newark and Bingham, as well as a specialist crew from Tuxford, attended the scene after the call was made at 4.17pm.
The woman was safely extricated from the car using a small extension ladder and small gear.
An air ambulance was called to the scene, but after a roadside assessment she was taken to hospital by road ambulance. Her condition was not thought to be critical.
