Southwell Minster choristers to play prominent role in autumn Bingham concert
Choristers are set to play prominent roles in an autumn concert.
Southwell Minster’s head girl chorister Ellie-Jean Winfield and a former chorister George Parris are both playing prominent roles in Bingham and District Choral Society’s Autumn Concert.
Ellie-Jean will be singing the soprano solos during the concert, including those of Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer and in the Requiem by John Rutter.
Composer George was a boy chorister in the choir until 2014, when he left to study music at Manchester University.
Last year, he won the Bingham society’s Composing Competition with his piece A Psalmic Fantasia.
The concert takes place on Sunday, November 27, from 7.30pm at St Mary’s Parish Church, Orston.
