Newark Town share the points at Kirby Muxloe as the United Counties League Division One football league match ends goalless




A contest between the third and fourth-placed teams in the United Counties Division One table has ended in a 0-0 draw after Kirby Muxloe invited Newark Town to their ground for the match.

Both sides walked away with a point each in the competition after the closely contested match saw neither team get a goal on the scoreboard.

Defender Joe Braithwaite was judged as the best player for The Blues and was awarded the man-of -the-match award.

The result saw The Blue Submarine maintain a one-point buffer over the hosts in the table with two games in hand.

Newark Town will now host bottom-of-the-league Rainworth who are known as The Wrens at the YMCA Activity Village on Saturday, (kick-off 3pm).
