Newark Brazil announce new badge after name change from Newark Flowserve Brazil
A grassroots football club has a new badge for the 2020/2021 season thanks to the artistic endeavours of one of its young players.
Coaches from across Newark Brazil’s numerous age groups cast the design challenge to youngsters following the club’s name change from Newark Flowserve Brazil in May.
The winning design was created under-13s footballer Luca Bannister.
The new badge pays homage to the one that originally featured on the club’s shirts when it was founded as AFC Brazil in 2009, but retains the orange and black livery that its teams currently play in.
The new design was brought to life by Rob Page, from KYAK Studio.
Simon Gabbitas, under-eights coach and committee member, said: “As a club that values the input from everyone involved, we really wanted to include our players as part of this new chapter and we’re really happy to see the new badge come to life.
“Rob has done a great job turning the winning design into its finished graphic.”
