Newark AC’s senior men win team honours at third North Midlands Cross Country League meeting with Ed Buck winning 10k race

Newark AC’s senior men won the team race at the third North Midlands Cross Country League meeting on Saturday.

In tough conditions with strong winds and rain at Shipley Country Park in Heanor, the senior men finished first with the vets team claiming fourth spot.

Individual hours went to Ed Buck who won the men’s 10k race with George Hatton taking third spot and Marcus Chesterton finishing in fifth.

Newark were also represented by Tom Marshall 18th, Leigh Marshall 28th, Dan Dunnington 34th, Dave Robinson 48th, Chris Harrison 60th, Robin Clee 116th and Paul Collingswood in 159th.

Kim Etherington-Bates ran in the ladies race, finishing in 75th place.
