Capacity entry for 62nd Dukeries Rally at Donington Park

More news, no ads

The 62nd Dukeries Rally will take place at Donington Park next month.

This year’s event, on Sunday, December 5, will be the third round of the 2021-22 Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship in conjunction with MSVR, as well as seeing the conclusion of the East Midlands, Marsh Commercial Stage, Heart of England and Dukeries’ own rally championships.

The rally also boasts a new title sponsor with MAXUS, a national commercial vehicles dealership, headlining.

Paul Rees, chairman of hosts Dukeries Motor Club, said: “We are very pleased to welcome MAXUS as our headline sponsor and we hope that their involvement in the 2021 event will be the start of a successful and mutually beneficial partnership.”

The rally moved to Donington Park for the 2015 event, after finally leaving its traditional Nottinghamshire forest stages.

Although entries only opened for the rally last Thursday, the entry list is already full, with a number of keen competitors on a reserve list too.

Among the confirmed entries are 2020 winners Frank Bird and Jack Morton in their Fiesta, but having probably travelled the farthest, Dukeries will be welcoming top Caribbean crew Jeffrey Panton and Michael Fennell in a Fiesta from Jamaica.
