Newark Town Football Club in Nottinghamshire recycle historic content for entertaining match day programme
A football club is paying tribute to its colourful history by putting content from programmes of yesteryear into its latest match day offerings.
Newark Town Football Club which was founded in 1868 has begun the practice recently and the feature has proven popular with fans.
The latest edition of the programme which was sold at the Newark Town against Rainworth game contained historic articles and advertisements which received many positive comments from pundits.
“I have got a decent amount of old programme copies that I will be putting more of this content into our programmes,” said Newark Town media man and programme coordinator, Craig Mountney.
“I’m always looking for our history as it needs to be remembered and it something to be proud of for everyone involved at the club.
“I am always on lookout so anything anyone comes across any items, please get in touch.”
