Newark Athletic Club compete in annual relay national cross country competition at Berry Hill, near Mansfield Nottinghamshire





The annual national cross-country relays again took place this year, this time at Berry Hill in Mansfield.

Newark Athletic Club said they had two teams competing in the Senior Females in very wet conditions.

A team comprising of Amber Owens, Rebecca Taylor, and Alison Monaghan came 35th out of 130 teams.

The B team consisted of Kimberley Etheringron-Bates, Tilly Owens, and Gillian Newbould who came 72nd.

The men had three teams with each leg being approx 5k.

The A team which saw Tom Marshall, Will Tucker, Leigh Marshall, and Dave Robinson compete came 67th out of 177 and, the B team of Chris Harrison, Geoff Gregory, Oliver Crampton, and Tim Bagguley came 102nd.

The C team of Tom Braithwaite, Lee Braithwaite, Adrian Dix, and Tom Newbould ran in 132nd.
