New signings announced by football clubs in the United Counties League as Nottinghamshire teams Newark Town and Newark and Sherwood United get their men

Several new signings have been announced across the district by football teams.

Renaldo Smith will be joining Newark and Sherwood United and knows several of the players from the Nottingham Trent team.

"Renaldo is a lightning-fast winger and his pace will scare teams," said The Highwaymen's manager Jon D'Laryea.

"He has had a lot of playing time down south and has previously been the Bedfordshire county player of the year.

"He already has step five experience."

“I am looking forward to the challenge we have for the rest of the season and ready to work with the team to get the results that we need,” said Smith.

Newark Town also announced a signing of their own as they brought Harvey Grice across from West Bridgford.

The former Alfreton and Basford midfielder has transferred after achieving 18 caps at West Bridgford this season.

"I am really pleased to bring Harvey to the club, a player I've tracked for a while," said The Blues manager Luke Parsons.

"Harvey's CV speaks for itself, a real technician who will run all day for the team.

"One thing I like about him is his delivery into the box and he will give us an additional threat in the way we attack."
