United Counties League draw for prelimary round of League Knockout Cup held, with Newark Town, Newark and Sherwood United and Southwell City fixtures announced




Teams have found out who they will be playing in their first cup games of the season.

The United Counties League held the draw for the prelimary round of the League Knockout Cup over the weekend.

Three teams from across the Advertiser area now know who they will face off against.

Newly promoted Newark Town FC will play at home against St Neots Town.

Newark and Sherwood United will welcome Northampton Sileby Ranger, during their first season sharing a ground at the JRL Brickwork stadium in Grantham.

Meanwhile, Southwell City will be heading out on the road for their match up against Belper United.

The games will be played between September 2 and September 8, with match details to be announced closer to the date.

The draw for the First Round is then expected to be made on, or around, September 9.
