Two Newark-based riders were on the podium in a British Cycling event.

The red-hot Zoe Codd, racing for the Laatste Ronde! Coaching Team, won the women’s vet 50-plus category in round six of the British Cycling Cyclocross National Trophy Series at Broughton Park, Skipton.

The Coddington-based cyclist finished fifth overall.

Newark Castle’s rising star Florence Lissaman (pictured right) managed a podium as she took third in the junior women’s race, finishing behind series winner Ella Maclean-Howell.

Younger sister Charlotte Lissaman finished sixth in the under-14s girls’ race.
