Things were not so good to come in race one on Sunday.
On lap five, at the hairpin, Martin ran wide and Gamble took the racing line into second place but a shove from Ellis in front pushed Gamble into the tyre wall and out of the race with broken suspension and other minor damage.
Team-mate Burns completed finished in ninth.
The team at Century Motorsport got Gamble’s car back together for race two, where, due to his DNF, he was starting in 16th at the back of the Pros and Burns was starting P11.
As the lights went out It was a tricky race from the onset for Gamble, with not many overtaking opportunities apparent.
Gamble was unfortunately handed a driving standard penalty as a result of his fast pursuit on lap seven and two laps later he was still in 16th
By lap 11, Gamble was trying everything to get past Wylie with only four tenths of a second separating the pair. Same in Gamble’s rear mirror as Aspin was piling on the pressure and six tenths behind.
After another penalty of 5 seconds for exceeding track limits on lap 16 Gamble finished 18th (tenth in class).
It was a very hard weekend for the drivers and the team. They are hoping for a lot more success in the next meet at Knockhill in a few weeks’ time.
