Epperstone’s Tom Gamble set to take part in the 24 hours of Le Mans race in France this weekend for Aston Martin / The Heart of Racing Team

Tom Gamble takes to the wheel in the 24 hours of Le Mans in France this weekend.
Epperstone’s Gamble, who was added to the Aston Martin factory driver line-up, can’t wait to be back behind the wheel - his third time at this prestigious race in five years.
The 23-year-old superstar will race for the Aston Martin / The Heart of Racing Team with team-mates Harry Tincknell and Ross Gunn.
Aston Martin will be chasing outright honours for the first time since 2011 in the striking British Racing Green livery “Green Going for Gold”, it also marks the 93rd edition of the Le Mans 24-hour race.
The team’s #007 Aston Martin Valkyrie Hypercar will compete for Hypercar category honours as part of a bumper 21-car Hypercar field.
He took part in 2021 with GR Racing Porsche, LMGTE Class, in 2023 in LMP2 Pro/Am with Racing Team Turkey being run by TF Sport in a Oreca 07 Gibson.
Gamble is no stranger to the event and could be in with a chance of a Class win.
The trusted trio of Gamble, Tincknell and Gunn have worked hard on track through testing that started this week with further practice sessions getting the #007 Aston Martin Hypercar ready for this weekend. Today (Thursday) they start qualifying sessions.
At 4pm (CET) on Saturday afternoon the tension will mount as the car lines up alongside the Grandstand Straight and the adrenaline will peak as the green flag hails the beginning of 24 hours of thrilling race action.
Gamble’s racing CV has also included competing in the Le Mans Cup, GT World Challenge, IMSA Sportscar Championship LMP3, Asian Le Mans Series and GTD classes across the UK, Europe and the World.
He also claimed pole for his maiden British GT Championship debut in 2019 aboard a Century Motorsport BMW and was back in the championship again in 2023.
At 19, his debut BRDC British Formula 3 Championship season in 2018 saw him finish fifth with two wins, three poles and seven fastest laps.
Gamble became a McLaren Factory Driver in 2023. He had connections with McLaren previously and was renowned for winning the 2018 McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver Award.
