Bingham run out big winners over Ollerton Rugby Club and Southwell comeback to beat Sleaford
There was a massive victory for Bingham’s 1sts at home as they ran out 72-0 winners over Ollerton 2nds, despite struggling to put a team together.
By half-time Bingham had extended the score to 27-0 before scoring another seven tries in the second-half.
The home team turned it on for the crowd at Brendon Grove with some entertaining rugby.
Hat-trick tries went to George Stewart and Jack Barnard while James Bennett and Hugo Robinson scored on their debut.
Jack Barnard slotted home five conversions for the home side.
A club spokesman from Bingham said Ollerton deserved to be commended for not giving up during the match, despite the heavy scoreline.
Bingham are now sitting on top of the One Central League having played five games so far this season.
Bingham will travel to South Nottinghamshire Barbarians for their match this Saturday.
Southwell 1sts had their match cancelled due to opposition availability issues.

However, a strong comeback in the second-half saw Sleaford fight to win 22-6 at the final whistle.
