Championship-winning team Elite Motorsport with the #23 Ginetta G56 GTP8 race car worked wonders over the weekend that saw him fifth in the championship after four races.

Thursday and Fridays seven test sessions saw Gamble not drop lower than fifth and take at least three fastest laps in each session too.

On both days he was second fastest on circuit during sessions topping over 100mph.

Saturday’s qualifying session of 20 minutes saw Gamble take fifth place out of the 19 starters, topping speeds over 101mph with a best time of 2:09.383secs, after two laps were disallowed for exceeding track limits.

He also took two fastest laps on the 3.66-mile circuit in Pro-Am class.

Saturday’s race one saw him line up on the third row for the 12-lap race. It was a lights to flag affair for Gamble, remaining in fifth for the duration but putting pressure on the front runners of White, Pratt-Thompson, Clark and Simpson. He also took a second-place podium in the Pro Am Class.

Race two on Sunday saw Gamble in eighth for the start of the race. He was into P4 by the end of lap one and was flying. He remained in that position for the 12-lap race and took top step of the podium in Pro Am Class too.
